R&R PROVISION COMPANY CELEBRATES 85TH ANNIVERSARY

Family-Owned-and-Operated Food Manufacturer and Distributor Specializing in Custom-Cut Steaks and Meats Has Been Located in Easton Since 1934

EASTON, Pa., September 25, 2019 – R&R Provision Company, a family-owned-and-operated food distributor and manufacturer specializing in custom-cut steaks and meats, is celebrating its 85th anniversary this month. The company, based in Easton, Pennsylvania, has been providing wholesale and retail customers with top-quality steaks, meats and assorted food products since 1934.

“We are excited to be celebrating our 85th anniversary,” said R&R Provision Chairman Richard W. “Rocky” Rogers. “On behalf of our entire family, I would like to thank our valued retail and wholesale customers and all of our employees. We truly enjoy working together and providing delicious custom-cut steaks, meats and other food products.”

R&R Provision serves restaurants, country clubs, culinary arts schools, hospitals and nursing homes with a large selection of wholesale products, including company specialties corned beef brisket, ribeyes, tenderloins and boneless Delmonico steaks. In 2009, the company opened its 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Easton.

In addition to its wholesale business, R&R Provision operates an on-site retail store in Easton, where customers can purchase grocery store essentials, grab-and-go lunches and top-selling local favorites like veal patties, holiday and party platters, sausage and scrapple, a regionally beloved take on meatloaf popularized by the Pennsylvania Dutch.

“We’re not just a food distributor, we’re also a manufacturer and we make a lot of products in-house,” added R&R Provision President Richard W. “Rick” Rogers II. “We also do custom cuts of steaks — beef, pork, lamb, veal — that’s really our forte.”

R&R Provision started as a specialty food supplier 85 years ago when it was founded by two men named Ralph and Russ, who lent their names to the new company. In 1980 Rocky Rogers bought out some of the original owners, and in 1991 his son Rick joined the company, turning R&R Provision into a family business where Rocky still serves as company chairman.
